Species
The Brachychiton acerifolius species is from the Mallows family in the Brachychiton genus. Flame trees came to Saipan due to Francisco Borja Kaipat while working for the Marianas agriculture program. In the 1960s, he worked with a group that planted 800-900 flame tree seeds. Other organisms similar to the Delonix Regia flame tree are Millettia pinnata (Indian Beech), Samanea saman (Rain Tree). and Delonix Regia (Poinciana Flame tree).
